Dirty Talk for Beginners: Start Small, Stay Yourself

Dirty talk does not require a new personality. For many couples, the easiest starting point is simply saying what already feels good or expressing anticipation.

Start one level above your normal language

Instead of jumping to explicit phrases, begin with compliments, anticipation or a simple description of what you enjoy. Notice your partner's response and invite feedback.

Agree on boundaries first

Words that excite one person can make another uncomfortable. Talk about hard limits and language you would rather avoid. Consent applies to verbal play too.

Don't copy a script blindly

Examples can break writer's block, but the best language sounds believable coming from you and fits the relationship you actually have.
